2D animatic version 2
Total animation time: 4 min 42 seconds
I've been insistent on not revisiting the 2D animatic and making changes directly in my 3D animatic. But the number of required changes has steadily increased and I realize now that I was just being stubborn. I find the storyboarding and 2D animatic process to be extremely valuable for nailing the storytelling and pacing. Although this has been a bit of a setback, I'm very glad I took the time to redo my 2D animatic before diving into the 3D animatic.
Minor revisions:
Dr. Ribeiro-da-Silva: Remove part where pain signal travels from CNS to PNS (controversial!)
Prof. Linda Wilson Pauwels: Don't make the nerve appear on screen by growing into the joint (misleading); Can show the misalignment of the fingers for "bone deformation"; Remove "voting" and "non-voting" from credits (and also add affiliations).
Prof. Michael Corrin: In cation influx scene, zoom out to break up static image and to let audience appreciate increased influx of cations. Also label vesicle when showing upregulation of ion channels.
Next steps:
Final narration will feature voice talent from Prof. Shelley Wall.
3D animatic + lots of modeling to do!
Things I forgot to implement, will do in 3D animatic:
- when signalling endosomes form, add cellular transition screen so molecular --> cellular nociceptive ending --> to spinal cord
